Summer heat hits Broughty Ferry ahead of busy weekend
Temperatures in Broughty Ferry today climbed to 27 °C as preparations for beer festival got underway.

As a summer heat wave pushed temperatures up to a scorching 27°C in Broughty Ferry, locals flocked to the beach for some sea and ice cream.
A high-pressure system expanding over Scotland is responsible for sustained warm conditions with Met Office forecasters predicting that temperatures should remain in the mid-20s on Saturday.
The forecast for Saturday will be good news for organisers of Fisherman’s Beer Festival that got underway today and continues through the weekend.
