A brazen thief smashed his way into a Dundee salon before stealing bottles of shampoo and conditioner.
Salon Fierce, on Arbroath Road, was targeted in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The intruder smashed his way into the premises using a brick before roaming through several areas of the business, including the stockroom.
Business partners Ashley Duvenhage and Nicola Rooney said the thief made off with around £70 worth of stock.
Speaking to The Courier, Ashley described the incident as “stressful” after watching CCTV footage of the man inside the premises.
The 34-year-old said: “It wasn’t ideal having to deal with this yesterday while trying to run a busy salon.
“All our clients have been amazing – sending flowers, food, and well wishes after what happened.
“I’ve watched it back on CCTV and saw this guy fumbling around our shop just before 4am.
“He’s taken a can of energy juice, shampoo, and conditioners – it’s about £70 worth of products.
“We can clearly see his face on the camera and he was placing his stuff into an Asda carrier bag.
Salon Fierce raided again
“There’s no cash left on the premises, but he still fumbled around for seven minutes.
“It’s the worry and stress of dealing with this while trying to run the business.
“The police and forensics were here yesterday.”
Ashley added that the business was targeted in a similar incident last year.
She added: “We’re now at the stage where we’ll need to put shutters on the windows, which is going to be an extra cost.
“Esk Glazing kindly came out and replaced the damaged pane in the door straight away, which we really appreciated.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.50am on Thursday, June 19, we received a report of a break-in at a business premises on Arbroath Road, Dundee.
