Police have launched an investigation after a man was seriously assaulted in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to Ballindean Road, Douglas, following reports of the incident late on Friday night.
Locals report seeing several police cars and an ambulance in the area, near the junction with Balerno Street.

Forensics officers have also been spotted, and police remained at the scene on Saturday morning.
It has not been confirmed if the man was taken to hospital.
One resident said: “I saw several police cars and an ambulance parked close to the junction with Balerno Street last night.
“Then, this morning, I spotted forensics in a white van at around 10.30am.”
Another local added: “The first I knew of anything was when I walked down to the shops this morning and a police car was parked up on the pavement,
“It’s been sitting there since, and I saw a policeman walking from a block of flats earlier on, but I’m not sure what happened.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.50pm on Friday, police received a report of the serious assault of a man in Ballindean Road, Dundee.
“Officers are following a positive line of inquiry.”
