The Trossachs Explorer bus is confirmed to be returning in 2025.
Local bus operator McColls will be running the route seven days a week from Monday July 7 to Sunday October 5.
The service, which launched last year, was introduced to connect Callander and Aberfoyle with destinations within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
It is being extended to serve Drymen and will stop at The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre, Ben Venue, Loch Katrine, Ben A’an, Brig o’ Turk and Kilmahog, for access to Ben Ledi.
The timetable is also designed to link with onward journeys to Alexandria/Balloch, Glasgow and Stirling, as well as cruises on Loch Katrine.
Here is the full list of stops:
- The Square, Drymen
- Tourist Information Centre, Aberfoyle
- The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre, Aberfoyle
- Ben Venue Car Park, Loch Achray
- Pier, Loch Katrine
- Ben A’an Car Park, Loch Achray
- Glen Finglas Road, Brig o’ Turk
- Ben Ledi Car Park, Kilmahog
- Public Toilets, Callander
There will be four services between Drymen and Callander per day.
An additional three will connect Aberfoyle and Callander.
This year’s expanded service follows feedback from 2024, when 91% of surveyed passengers said they would use the shuttle bus again.
Gordon Watson, chief executive at Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority, said: “This expanded pilot allows us to continue to gather the insight and evidence needed to develop long-term transport solutions across the entire national park.”
