doof in the Park: Tents appear in Camperdown ahead of Hannah Laing’s dance festival

A huge tent has appeared in Camperdown Park as final preparations for doof in the Park get underway.

The one-day dance festival, hosted and headlined by Dundee DJ Hannah Laing, will take place in the park on Saturday.

Around 15,000 revellers are expected to attend, with dance icons Armin van Buuren and Judge Jules joining the 25-act line-up.

On Monday, workers were seen setting up the staging, with the gated entry system already in place.

Some areas of the park are fenced off as the preparations continue.

On the day of the event, Camperdown Wildlife Centre and the adventure playground will both be shut.

Road restrictions will also be in place on the day.

Curator and founder of doof in the Park Hannah will close the event as its headline act.

She said: “To be bringing a festival to my home town with my own brand is an absolute dream come true.

“Bringing everyone together where I have lived all my life is going to be special and great for the city.”
