Image: Supplied Police ‘removed a man from a car’ during an operation on a Dundee street at the weekend. Officers swarmed Ormiston Crescent, just off Berwick Drive, on Saturday afternoon. Neighbours described seeing a “heavy” police presence as officers detained a man at around 4.45pm. A vehicle was later removed from the scene in Whitfield as officers carried out door-to-door inquiries. Police were positioned all over Ormiston Crescent, Dundee. Image: Supplied One resident, who asked not to be named, said several people had gathered in the street to watch the events unfold. She claimed: “There were at least six police vehicles on the street. “They came in with sirens blaring – it was the full works. “A man was pulled from the car and detained. “There were a number of officers assisting the two who arrived first. “CID were also here. “It looked like the vehicle was seized, but police were guarding the car for a while before it was taken away. “They also carried out door-to-door inquiries.” Police Scotland was unable to provide a comment.
