A shelved plan to renovate an A-listed chapel near Dunblane town centre has been revived.
Queen Victoria School initially sought permission from Stirling Council to carry out extensive works on its chapel at the beginning of the year.
However, the planning application was withdrawn soon after, in February.
Now, a new request has been submitted on behalf of the boarding school, asking to make alterations to the 112-year-old building.
According to the application, necessary repairs include replacing roof slates and guttering, as well as mending windows and doors.
Some of the stonework, harling and leadwork on the chapel’s exterior requires attention.
The removal of vegetation on external walls is also part of the proposal.
Inside, several doors require redecoration, and some ironmongery is to be repaired by a specialist blacksmith.
Loose woodblock parquet flooring needs to be fixed and re-varnished.
If green-lit by the council, the work will need to adhere to strict standards so as not to change the appearance of the historic building and its interior, which dates back to 1913.
Queen Victoria School is managed and funded by the Ministry of Defence and is mainly attended by children of servicemen and women.
