A 20-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being found injured outside an address in Dundee.
Police cordoned off part of Graham Street, near its junction with Clepington Road, early on Thursday morning.
A second area near the entrance to a block of flats has also been sealed off as part of the investigation.
Officers were called to the scene around 1.30am.
The extent of the man’s injuries is not yet known.
One witness said they became aware of the incident just after 2am.
They said: “There was a person lying on the ground and loads of people were around them.
“Police had already cordoned off the area and had officers on point.
“Paramedics were at the scene, and there was a lot of screaming that I could hear.
“It looked like one of the police cars followed the ambulance to the hospital.
“A trauma team was also present alongside a regular paramedic crew.”

Another resident said they also became aware of the incident in the early hours.
He said: “Some neighbours had gone out to help, and I could hear voices getting louder.
“There were at least eight police officers in the street, alongside paramedics.
“The street remains taped off this morning.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.30am on Thursday, July 3, we received a report of a man injured outside a property on Graham Street, Dundee.
“A 20-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call today (Thursday) at 01.23am to an incident on Graham Street in Dundee.
“We dispatched two ambulances to the scene and transported one male patient to Ninewells Hospital.”
