A Leven driving range has asked the public to watch out for “cheap” golf clubs on sale after £5,000 worth of equipment was stolen.
Wellsgreen Golf Range has shared CCTV footage of an individual breaking into their shop at around 11.15pm on Tuesday.
As well as damage to their door and shutter, the range has lost a variety of golf clubs.
Stewart Whiteford from Wellsgreen has urged the public to look out for the stolen clubs for sale at a cheap price.
He said: “The clubs that were taken were Taylor Made QI10 and Titleist GT drivers, but they’ll come without head covers because we have them through the back.
“These drivers are worth around 500 quid, so they’re not cheap nowadays.
“I would imagine these things would be sold cheap through places like Facebook marketplace or local, maybe at the back of the car somewhere.”

Stewart added: “We’ve got loud alarms that would give you a fright.
“I think police thought they had got somebody, but no. I don’t think they’ve got a lot to go on.
“We’ve seen him in a video from a place called Next Gen Golf. It looks like it could the same guy.
“So it looks like he’s not just operating locally, because that’s in the Glasgow area.
“He’s obviously a guy working alone, there was nobody else.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Wellsgreen through its Facebook page.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 11.15pm on Tuesday, officers received a report of a break-in and theft at a premises on Standing Stane Road.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
