The Scottish SPCA is calling for “brave fundraisers and daredevils” from across Tayside and Fife to come forward in an effort to raise money for the animals in need.

The animal rights charity is seeking participants ”to challenge themselves and step into the unknown” by taking part in its inaugural Firewalk event.

Elliot Hay, the organisation’s Dundee animal rescue and rehoming centre manager, said: ”We’re calling on brave animal lovers to take part in this once in a lifetime challenge.

The Scottish SPCA are preparing for their inaugural Firewalk fundraiser in support of vulnerable animals in Scotland.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to do something daring and memorable and to raise vital funds to rehabilitate, rehome and release animals in Scotland.

“At the event, there will be a team of highly skilled instructors to ensure participants are trained and equipped with everything they need to make the Firewalk as safe and enjoyable as possible.”

The charity fundraiser takes place on Sunday, April 7 at Montrose Links Park Stadium, with registration for the event beginning at 5.30pm.

Participants must be 14 or over, those under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
