Two men are to appear in court following a disturbance which saw part of a Kirkcaldy street sealed off.
The 65-year-old and 48-year-old were arrested and charged in connection with the incident in Links Street on Saturday morning.
Two men, understood to be the accused, were hurt and taken to the town’s Victoria Hospital.
Police swooped on the scene after the alarm was raised just before 11am.
They cordoned off part of the busy street near the junction with Heggie’s Wynd and traffic was diverted to the Esplanade.
The road was closed for around two hours while an investigation was conducted into what police described as a disturbance.
There was no indication of how badly the men were hurt, but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police Scotland confirmed on Sunday morning that arrests had been been made.
A spokeswoman said: “Two men aged 65 and 48 have been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance in Links Street, Kirkcaldy, and are due to appear in Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court tomorrow.”
