A man picked up a spaniel and carried out a sex act on it before telling the dog’s owner how much it turned him on, a jury in Dundee has been told.
The woman described how Derek Black, 67, came to her home repeatedly to masturbate her pet dog, before getting aroused and “dry humping” her doorframe.
She said Black told her he “knew a good way to tire out” her energetic dog before leaving her shocked by carrying out the sex act in front of her.
The 25-year-old woman, who had known him for years, said “creepy” Black had also rummaged through her drawers and mocked her about having a “Red-eyed Cobra” sex toy.
She said Black also carried out a sexual assault on her after he had been aroused by touching the spaniel’s genitals.
‘Good way’ to tire out dog
The woman told the trial at Dundee Sheriff Court: “He sent messages about (the dog).
“It was bombarding with messages.
“He took him out for a walk two or three times.
“He was obsessed with the dog.
“We were in the kitchen and he said ‘I’ve got a really good way to tire (the dog) out’.”

“Being a spaniel he’s quite an energetic dog.
“He needed good walks. If he took him out it would only be for ten minutes.
“We were in the kitchen and he said ‘I’ve got a really good way to tire (the dog) out.’
“He picked the dog up by his chest, lifted him on both of his back legs and started masturbating the dog.
“I was in shock. I just kind of stood back and looked.
“He told me he did it to his other dog. He cleaned up…his hand and the kitchen.”
‘Dry-humped’ doors
She added: “From the top of my head it happened about seven times.
“He was getting turned on by this. The whole time Derek came to my flat he did it to the dog.
“He was getting turned on and would dry hump the doors.
“He said ‘I’m getting turned on’.
“There was a time when he put his hand on his crotch, rubbed himself and looked right at me.
“He grabbed my hand and put it right over him, his crotch.
“I pulled away. He turned me round, pushed me down, and tried to grind himself behind me.
“After he masturbated the dog he grabbed my breasts.”
Denies all charges
She said Black sent an obscene message asking about the dog and on one occasion another person walked in as the accused was “cleaning the ceiling” after carrying out the sex act on the dog.
Black denies making sexually explicit comments about the dog before carrying out a sex act upon it.
Black, of Gray Street, Broughty Ferry, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the woman several times in Dundee between January 1 2013 and November 30 2017.
He is alleged to have made sexual comments about her appearance and asked her to have sex, before rubbing his penis on a doorframe and sexually assaulting her dog in her presence.
It is further alleged on one occasion during November 2019 he acted in a threatening or abusive manner towards a woman in Gray Street.
Black denies the charges and the trial before Sheriff Alistair Carmichael continues.
