A rapist from Fife who carried out sex attacks on a pregnant teenager and dangled her over a rail line bridge is behind bars.
Construction worker Ricki Findleton also had underage sex with the victim, raped another teenager and molested a 13-year-old girl during a catalogue of offending against three females.
Findleton, formerly of Rossend Terrace, Burntisland, had denied a string of charges during a trial but was found guilty of four charges of rape and two of underage sex.
He was convicted of two instances of threatening or abusive behaviour, one of abduction and assault, one of assault, one of sexual assault and communicating indecently with a child.
The offences were committed at addresses and locations in Burntisland and Kirkcaldy, between 2011 and 2019.
Sentence was deferred on him for the preparation of a background report and the sex offender was remanded.
Sticking the boot in
Pregnant Louise Marshall, 42, from Pitlochry, threatened to set her dog on a female police officer before attacking her with a Timberland boot. She shouted at the officer that she had a broken foot and told her: “You’re not arresting me.” She then swung a boot at the police officer’s head, before digging her nails into her face.
Abusive barber
A barber has admitted breaking a strict court order not to contact his wife, after he made a series of sinister threats against her.
Fecri Konu, from Perth, repeatedly threatened his partner with violence in menacing text messages sent last October.
The 35-year-old pled guilty in March to a charge of placing his wife and her friend in a state of fear and alarm.
Konu, who had already been sent on a course on how to treat Scottish women, was sentenced to 200 hours community work and told to attend a domestic abuse course.
He was also ordered to stay clear of his wife for two years.
Konu, of Alexandra Street, returned to the dock and admitted breaching the non-harassment order.
Fiscal depute Nicole Lewis said his wife is now in favour of the court extending the two-year banning order.
Sheriff Robert Vaughan deferred sentence for a good behaviour report until February 8.
Out of the frying pan, into the fire
A drunken Perth pensioner viciously attacked his 65-year-old partner after accidently sticking his hand in a chip fat fryer. John Ward, 72, was in “excruciating pain” when he assaulted his victim with jewellery and a TV remote control.
