A woman accused of running a Fife brothel has denied offering any sexual services despite two witnesses claiming they regularly received “happy endings”.
Chin Chih Chang claimed she sublet rooms in her Lord Gambier Wharf flat to young Asian girls who paid her £400 to teach them how to massage.
The 53-year-old said she was a professional who only offered normal massages and that she expressly told her “students” they should not perform sex acts.
Chang, a married mum, admitted she “felt strange” about the goings on in the Kirkcaldy property but claimed she had “no evidence” to prove what the girls were doing.
She also accepted she shouted a warning to a young woman and her naked client during a police raid on May 31 last year.

Giving evidence through a translator, Chang gave details of the bust and said: “I had been out shopping. When I arrived back to the house, I saw the two doors were shut.
“I received a phone call from the second witness and he told me that he wanted to come.
“After he arrived, he said he wanted a shower.
“He didn’t manage to remove his trousers and pants and then I heard the police pressing the buzzers.
“I told them (the police) that in the biggest room, there was someone sleeping inside.
“And then I raised my voice to give an indication to the person in the room that the police had arrived.”
Chang claimed she did this to respect the customer’s “privacy” as he would be naked and denied knowing that sex acts were being performed in the room.
The accused inisted lubricant, money and a handwritten Chinese to English phrase book found in the Kirkcaldy property belonged to one of her tenants.
And she claimed she went with young women on “out calls” as there was a “risk for her security” in that the customers might “hit or rape her”.
She accepted taking money from customers but insisted it was on behalf of the girls and just for massages.
Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court also heard Chang transferred almost £30,000 out of the country between April 2016 and May 2017 despite officially earning just over £23,000.
