Power has returned to all but two properties after a damaged cable affected supplies in Dundee.
A fault in the Baldovie area was reported at 8.55am today, according to SSEN.
Roads affected included Peedles Drive, Berwick Drive, Ballumbie Drive, Ballumbie Gardens, Bader Street, Old Quarry Road and other parts of Baldovie.
SSEN’s website had said power is expected to be restored at 5pm today but a later statement says that power has returned for most properties.
It said: “The fault occurred when a third party struck and damaged our underground cable.
“The damage caused a loss of power to 723 customers. 721 customers were restored by 9.53am. Two customers remain without power.
“We would like to thank our customers for their patience while we repair the third party damage to the underground cable. Our engineers are working to get the power back on as safely and as quickly as possible.”
