Police are investigating after a cyclist stole a handbag from a woman in her 60s as she walked on a Dundee street.
She was walking on Camperdown Road on Wednesday at about 3.50pm when a man rode behind her and grabbed the bag from her arm.
The cyclist, who had been spotted “loitering” nearby before the incident, then rode off in the direction of Strathmartine Road.
The theft took place between Livingstone Terrace and Garry Terrace.
A Tayside Police Division statement reads: “The cyclist had been seen loitering in the area for a while, and is described as white, in his late 20s, about 6ft with light brown hair, and was wearing a grey t-shirt and black shorts, and had a black Nike backpack.
“We don’t have any further details on his bike.
“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.
“Also, information can be given anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 2507 of May 6.”
