An English driver has been caught making a five-hour journey to Dundee to buy a puppy.
The motorist was caught in Manchester attempting to make the five-hour journey during the coronavirus lockdown.
He set off from Bury on Saturday morning and admitted to police he wouldn’t have made the journey at the beginning of lockdown.
Cumbria Roads Police division stopped his Black Audi and reported him for breaching coronavirus lockdown rules.
The driver was issued a penalty and warned to comply with lockdown regulations.
Police tweeted the driver’s actions with a warning to others.

It said: “This driver set off from Bury, Manchester this morning and travelled to Dundee to purchase a puppy.
