A classic album by one of Dundee’s best loved bands will be the centre of a “listening party” hosted by an indie rock legend.
Tim Burgess will delve into The View’s Hats Off to the Buskers with the group’s frontman Kyle Falconer and bassist Kieran Webster on Monday, June 15 at 9pm.
The Tim’s Twitter Listening Parties have become hugely popular with music fans since the lockdown began.
The singer, who is the frontman of The Charlatans, invites fellow musicians to take part in the sessions, where they live-tweet memories from an album as it is played from the listener’s home.
All tweets from the hosts appear in a liveblog on Burgess’s website.
Fans are invited to take part and ask questions to the musicians using the hashtag #TimsTwitterListeningParty on Twitter.
Announcing Hats Off to the Buskers would be the subject of a session, Burgess tweeted: “Monday, June 15 9pm (UK time) @KyleFrancisFalc and @KierenWebster will be joining us for a tweet by tweet, song by song run through of Hats Off To The Buskers, the classic debut album by The View.”
He joked: “For maximum effect keep the same jeans on from June 11.”

Webster said he is “buzzing” ahead of the listening party.
Some 319,000 copies of Hats Off to the Buskers were sold following its release in January 2007.
It rose to number one in the UK albums chart and propelled the band into stardom.
The album included hit tracks Same Jeans, Superstar Tradesman and Wasted Little DJs.

The View have been on a hiatus since playing a show at Dundee’s Caird Hall in December 2017.
Burgess’s listening parties have so far included albums by the likes of The Pogues, The Specials, MGMT, The Libertines, Sleaford Mods, Groove Armada, Pulp and The Chemical Brothers.
