[[success]] Email address Sign up A man who was found to have hundreds of pounds’ worth of heroin in his possession has had his sentence deferred pending further reports. Gareth McLaren, of Elders Court, was searched by police on December 7 at Yeamans Lane. Officers found him to have 11.68 grams of the Class A drug on his person. Depute fiscal Isobel Vincent told the court McLaren had come to the attention of officers at approximately 3.40pm that day. Upon conducting a search they found the drug, which had a total street value of £460. McLaren admitted possessing the controlled substance.
