A driver allegedly hit a pedestrian, throwing him on to the bonnet and seriously injuring him, before crashing into a stationary car.
Folake Ilesanmi, 38, of Donalds Court, appeared in private at the city’s sheriff court.
He made no plea or declaration in relation to one charge on petition.
Ilesanmi is charged with causing serious injury to John Nicolson by driving a car dangerously and performing a right turn at speed and while it was unsafe to do so, at the junction of Lochee Road and Dudhope Terrace.
He allegedly collided with Mr Nicolson, then a pedestrian on the carriageway, causing him to be thrown on to Ilesanmi’s car.
Ilesanmi then allegedly collided with a stationary car, causing damage to both vehicles, on June 8 this year.
The case was continued for further inquiries.
Ilesanmi was granted bail meantime.
