John Styles admitted battering Jeroen van Neijhof with a piece of wood and repeatedly before striking him with a knife at a flat in Brown Constable Street in May. Jeroen van Neijhof Styles then stole £10 from his victim. The 21-year-old, of no fixed abode, admitted to the crime at a brief trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.
