Penalty points imposed on a man caught drink driving have been removed after a successful appeal.
Thomas Jones was caught driving more than six times the drink-drive limit after falling off his quadbike on April 9 in Grampian Gardens.
The 39-year-old was also uninsured and driving without L-plates on a provisional licence.
Jones, of Grampian Gardens, admitted three charges at Dundee Sheriff Court.
He used an unregistered quadbike without insurance, without a licence and without L-plates and was caught driving with 136 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Sheriff John Rafferty disqualified him for 27 months and fined him £300 as well as ordering him to participate in a drink-driving rehabilitation course.
Although his ban was sustained, judges at the Court of Criminal Appeal in Edinburgh removed the penalty points imposed on his licence.
