Frederick Paton, 47, of Forres Crescent, had his sentence deferred for three months at Dundee Sheriff Court for him to be of good behaviour.
Paton admitted that on May 17, at Carolina Court, for the purpose of causing annoyance or needless anxiety to his partner Karen Hay, he repeatedly made an excessive number of phone calls to her.
The court heard that the couple had been together for 12 years, but it had broken up and he was trying to rekindle the relationship.
He made 51 calls over the course of the day, the court heard, before Ms Hay contacted police.
Solicitor John Boyle said the couple had been reconciled a short time afterwards.
Sheriff Alastair Carmichael deferred sentence to April 24.
