The annual Dundee Oktoberfest has been hailed a success with around 18,000 people attending over the three days.
This year’s event, which is organised by Dundee Rotary Club to raise money for charity, also appears to have smashed its £20,000 fundraising target.
Organiser Robert Dunn said that Oktoberfest, which is one of the city’s major live music events, went without any major incidents and finished with a 700-strong crowd at its finale on Saturday night.
A total of 15 live bands played at the Discovery Quay venue including Kashmir Crows, Rock Bottom, Still Standing Still, Cosmic Fish, Jive Candy, Neil Morrison, Tequila Rose, Sunstorm, The Windows, Miami Vince, Taylor Rae Dillon, Tarpaulin, Pretty Shameless, Jack Rabbit Slims and Judge Hardie and the Crimes.
Robert said: “We pretty much had a full house on Saturday night.
“The people of Dundee and further afield have really supported Okoberfest and they seemed to really be enjoying the excellent bands.
“It appears that over the three days we have met our objective to raise £20,000 and I’m confident that we have actually exceeded it.
“Altogether we have had between 17,000 and 18,000 people pass through the doors.
“All the planning and preparation has been worthwhile and the event passed without incidents of any consequence.
“In the coming weeks we will know exactly how much has been raised and to what charities the money will be distributed.
“We are very thankful to all those who attended and were involved, including Claverhouse Rotary Club and Dundee Heritage Trust for allowing us to use the site.”
As well as being a celebration of live music, the event showcased 26 local and authentic German beers, cask ales and ciders and German cuisine.
Bratwurst, Currywurst and Frickadellen were brought  in from Metsgerei Jedowski in the Sauerland, with Dundee baker Alan Clark providing German Brotchen rolls.
A Prosecco and Gin bar also made an appearance for the first time this year.
The event is the sixth beer festival run by volunteer members of the club raising thousands of pounds for charities and good causes each year.
