A six-year-old boy played his first solo violin recital after his head teacher saved the day.
Joseph Miranda was due to play at Arbroath Christmas Fayre, but left his instrument and music at school.
His mum, Heather, issued a plea on Facebook in the hope a replacement violin could be found.
But after her plea was shared dozens of times, Blackness Primary head teacher Gordon Ferrier got in touch and offered to open the school to let Joseph get his violin back.
Thanks to Mr Ferrier’s kind actions, Joseph made his performance “just in time”.
His delighted mum revealed: “There are a lot of kind people in Dundee.
