Thousands packed into Slessor Gardens as music legends Simply Red rocked Dundee on Saturday night.

The nineties chart-toppers, lead by the enigmatic singer Mick Hucknall, were in the city on the latest stop off on their UK tour.

And fans were treated to a fantastic live show which featured many of the band’s biggest hits.

The performance, including such classics as Holding Back The Years, Something Got Me Started, Fairground and If You Don’t Know Me By Now had the large crowd in raptures.

With over a billion hits on You Tube, and over 60 million albums worldwide, five of which reached number one in the UK, Simply Red remain a huge attraction for music fans.

Their 1991 classic – Stars – was the best-selling album for two years running in Britain and Europe.

Our photographer was at the show to capture some of the best images as Mick and the band pulled out all the stops to entertain the Dundee audience.
