The 5 Star event first visited Dundee in January.

Dundee Ice Arena has said it will review security after claims children were injured by over-excited spectators at a wrestling match.

2000 people attended 5 Star Wrestling’s Dominant Wrestling exhibition at the Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday.

Ex WWE stars Rey Mysterio and Carlito were among the grapplers entertaining fans.

Show promoter Daniel Hinkles said the event went “really nicely”, but some spectators have complained over a lack of security and over zealous fans.

Mum, Rachel Wilson, said her eight-year-old son was left “terrified” by unruly children carrying out wrestling moves.

Meanwhile, one grandmother said she reported unruly behaviour to Ice Arena staff but claims nothing was done.

A spokesperson for Dundee Ice Arena said 5 Star security “could have been better”, but poor security was only a “small issue” and that overall the event was “extremely successful”.

Meanwhile, 5 Star promoter Daniel Hinkles said: “Whilst our shows are designed to be child friendly and we have no age restriction on tickets we do ask that parents accompany their children at all times.

“Nobody made any complaints to me or my team on the night.”
