Organisers of Dundee’s newest music festival have said the response for the event has been “phenomenal”.
General sale tickets for the Carnival Fifty Six festival went on sale to the public on Monday morning, after 2,000 pre-registration briefs sold out in half an hour on Friday.
The two-day festival is set to take place at Camperdown Park in August, with a host of local and international acts booked to perform.
Acts Rudimental and Mark Ronson have been announced as headline performers for the weekend, with electronic music bands Basement Jaxx and Hot Chip set to play DJ sets.
Dundee craft-lager company 71 Brewing have been announced as the headline sponsor of the event, and local bands The Mirror Trap, Fat Goth and Sinderins will also perform at the event.
