A prisoner granted home leave before the Easter holiday weekend has failed to return to Castle Huntly open prison.
Frederick Boyd, 54, was on leave at an address in Glasgow, and has been reported as an absconder after failing to return to the prison on the conclusion of his leave.
Boyd is described as being five feet eleven inches tall, of medium build, clean shaven with short brown hair, and is believed to have connections with the Clydebank, Knightswood and Drumchapel areas of Glasgow.
The absconder has been missing since Tuesday night, when he was reported missing.
Police have warned members of the public not to approach Boyd if he is seen, but instead to contact officers on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
