Police are appealing for help after a number of Canadian coins were stolen from a home on the outskirts of Dundee.
Various Canadian Silver Maple Leaf 1 ounce coins were taken from a home in the Carse of Gowrie between Inchture and Longforgan, on Friday July 7, sometime between 8.30am and 5.45pm.
They are very unusual and were kept in distinctive grey plastic containers with yellow caps, with the police urging the public to raise the alarm if the thief attempts to sell them on.
A distinctive yellow and black Montane Cobra rucksack was also stolen.
The police believe the isolated location of the theft means it is unlikely that anyone would have seen it take place.
