Man suffers head and leg injuries in St Mary’s assault

A 39-year-old man suffered head and leg injuries after being brutally assaulted by three men in the St Mary’s area of Dundee on Sunday.

The incident took place in St Kilda Road between 6.30pm and 7pm.

The three attackers fled the area in a red Volkswagen after leaving their victim injured in the street.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said officers are “following a positive line” of inquiry.

St Kilda Road was sealed off by police as investigations into the alleged attack began.

A Police Scotland spokesman said:” The victim suffered head and leg injuries and was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.”
