A much-loved French restaurant in Dundee has closed after the owner decided to step down as he fights long-term illness.
Thierry Haddanou, who ran Perth Road’s Cafe Montmartre with his wife Anne, will instead now take time to recuperate.
Anne said: “Thierry has been ill for some time now and despite his valiant efforts to recuperate, has had to accept advice to step down from floor duties for good.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank again our loyal customers and to all the people who have helped us and for the brilliant reviews you have given us.
“We wish you all, good health and happiness in the years ahead.”
Locals have taken to social media to wish the couple well and express sadness at the news.
