Work has begun to provide a more reliable electricity supply to a residential part of Dundee – but drivers will have to navigate some road disruptions in the meantime.
The £55,000 project began yesterday and is expected to be completed next month.
The underground cables will run from the Pitfour Street substation to the junction of Baxter Street and City Road.
There will be lane closures and on-street parking restrictions implemented in the area as the work is carried out.
John Thoms, project manager at SSEN, said: “While we recognise the works may cause some disruptions, this investment will provide a more resilient power supply.”
