Police in Fife are appealing for information following a crash on the A92 between Kilmany and the Five Roads Roundabout.

The incident happened at around 3pm on February 27, when a Mini and a Nissan were involved in a crash, having been required to take what police describe as “evasive action” due to other road users.

A 43-year-old woman was taken by the Scottish Ambulance Service to Ninewells hospital in Dundee to be treated for back and neck injuries.

Sergeant Paul Hunter from Cupar Police Station said: “We are eager to trace the driver of a silver or grey Mercedes car, which is possibly a newer shape and the registration may contain the letters VDR or similar, to help with our investigation into the crash.

“We are also appealing for any dash-cam footage of the incident or of the Mercedes car both before and after the crash or any other information that will help with our enquiries.

“Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2171 of Thursday, 27, February 2020.”

The incident was one of a spate which occurred on Fife roads on Thursday.

Earlier on, a police officer was seriously injured after being involved in a collision with a vehicle transporter on the same road.

And another car was flipped onto its roof near Ballingry just after 5pm.
