Police have charged a man in connection with the attempted murder of a woman at a Fife beauty spot on Sunday.
The move comes less than 48 hours after a woman was found injured at Woodend Community Woodland on the outskirts of Cowdenbeath at around 6pm on Sunday, August, 30.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We can that confirm a 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 23-year-old woman in woodland near to Broad Street, Cowdenbeath, on Sunday, August 30.
“He is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today (Tuesday).
“A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
