A Fife road was closed for severalĀ hours earlier today after a skip lorry crashed into a bridge.
The incident happened on Station Road, Oakley shortly before 11am on Monday, September 21.
Police closed the road to allow for recovery of the vehicle and for an assessment of the damage to the bridge to be carried out.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland, said: “Around 10.55am on Monday police were called to a report of a skip lorry stuck under a bridge in Station Road, Oakley, Fife.
“Emergency services attended and the vehicle was recovered.”
Fife Council service manager, Tom Henderson, confirmed that a Council operated vehicle had been involved in an incident near Oakley, adding: “Thankfully no one was hurt and the incident is now being investigated.”
