A number of bus passengers had a lucky escape after the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in a crash in Glenrothes on Tuesday afternoon. The two-vehicle accident involved the 39A service and a Hyundai Coupe on the A911 near Riverside Park at around 2.37pm. The latter left the road and ended up in some bushes, although both male drivers of the vehicles were unhurt. Around a dozen people had been on the bus at the time. Police said it appears the vehicles had been travelling north towards Leslie Roundabout at the time, and one lane of the carriageway was blocked. However, traffic was moving slowly past the crash site. An ambulance attended as a precaution to check over passengers, but it is understood no-one required hospital treatment.
