A man suspected of firing a gun at a house in Kirkcaldy earlier this year is still believed to be on the run in the Republic of Ireland.
A 27-year-old identified by police as someone they would like to speak to was reported to the procurator fiscal in July.
But despite liaising with Interpol, the Guarda and the Crown Office, they have so far been unable to trace and arrest the man.
An investigation was launched after an incident in Craigfoot Walk, Kirkcaldy, on Thursday May 19.
A house and car owned by businessman Mohammed Javaid, in the desirable Seafield area were sprayed with bullets in the dead of night.
Nobody was injured but a shocked neighbour reported seeing a hooded man running from the scene.
Afterwards, Detective Inspector Colin Robson from Fife’s Proactive Unit said: “Police Scotland treats all reports of firearms offences with the utmost seriousness and, whenever crimes of this nature occur, we will conduct a thorough investigation to bring those responsible to justice.”
