A Fife model is flying the flag for Scotland after being crowned Miss European 2017.
Melissa Douglas, from Windygates, outshone dozens of other girls from across the continent to take the title at a glittering ceremony in Malta.
The 20-year-old wowed judges at the week-long competition, with this the latest title added to her collection having already been named Miss Fife and Miss Teen Galaxy in recent years.

Away from the modelling world, the former Waid Academy pupil is well used to a different kind of runway in her job as a flight attendant.
Asked what she intends to do next in her career, she said: “I would like to go abroad and do some modelling but we’ll see what happens.”
