Winners of the hotly contested Scottish Curry Awards have been announced.
Restaurant of the year in central Scotland is naan other than Tulsi Fine Dining Indian and Thai Restaurant in St Andrews, which was set up just three years ago.
Located in the home of golf, Tulsi has been visited by some of the world’s best golfers including Ian Poulter, Justin Leonard, Kevin Streelman, Martin Kaymer and Stewart Cink.
Even Tiger Woods’ mum Kultida has popped in to sample the menu.
Imam Hasan from Tulsi said: “This is very prestigious award for our restaurant. It is a great achievement.
“It has only been possible through hard work and the support of our customers.
“We opened this restaurant in 2015 with my three friends. It was challenge for us to make it a success, but we are now always busy with locals, students, and tourists.”
Alma Indian Restaurant and Bar in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, was named restaurant of the year in north Scotland.
And Nawaab of Perth scooped the award for best dining experience of the year in central Scotland.
Under the best loved restaurant category, Khushi’s Dunfermline, which was top in the south East, was overall winner, with Perth’s Everest Inn the winner for central Scotland.
The 11th annual Scottish Curry Awards were announced at an awards ceremony in Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza hotel.
The awards are run by Oceanic Consulting, which promotes campaigns and events aimed at black and minority ethnic communities.

“Throughout the last 10 years, we have admired the tenacity of the curry industry despite the numerous challenges.
“The Scottish Curry Awards is one of the few times when the industry’s establishments and individuals are recognised and we’d like to congratulate all of this year’s nominees and winners.”
