A man has been seriously hurt after falling from a window of a block of flats in Burntisland.
The 36-year-old was rushed to hospital by paramedics.
Police are investigating the incident in Kirkgate, which occurred on Monday morning.
The area around the flats was cordoned off as they conducted their probe.
A police spokesman said: “Police in Fife were called to an address on Kirkgate in Burntisland around 10.30am on Monday, April 8, following a report of a disturbance.
“A 36-year-old man was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital.
“Inquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances surrounding this incident, which is currently being treated as isolated.”
