Arbroath mechanic Bailey Menmuir will be laid to rest on Friday.
The popular 21-year-old’s funeral will take place at 2pm in St Andrew’s Church, Arbroath.
Bailey’s body was discovered on an area of land just a few hundred yards from his home, on January 10, following a five-day search.
Also known as Bailey Mearns, he came into contact with many youngsters in Arbroath, mainly through playing football with FC 1320 and coaching youth teams.
Friends have described him as the life and soul of any party and a man who loved to make people laugh.
A crowdfunding page set up to give Bailey the “send-off he deserves” has also now reached just over £15,000.

The money raised is enough to cover the funeral costs, settlement of Bailey’s estate and donations to local charities will also be made.
The service is expected to be standing room only after hundreds of people turned up at the church the night his body was found to remember him.
Later this month Arbroath will also host a charity football match in memory of Bailey to raise awareness of suicide.

The match will take place at Gayfield on January 29 at 7pm between Bailey’s team FC 1320 and a side made up of his closest friends.
Entry will be £5 and there will also be a bucket collection to raise money for The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) which is leading a movement against the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK.
Bailey was part of a close-knit group of friends and had just started a job in the offshore industry.
