The multi-instrumentalist, who has performed at numerous festivals and toured with names including Frightened Rabbit, The Proclaimers and, more recently, Tom Walker will take part in a Q&A and perform for the young DD8 audience from 6pm on Thursday.

They have included Disney effects animator Fraser MacLean, Game of Thrones location manager Naomi Liston, Palm d’Or-winning director Ken Loach’s costume designer Carole Millar and actor Gavin Mitchell, best known for his role as Bobby the barman in Still Game.
DD8 has also developed a Moving on Up programme for new S1/S2 pupils to get involved in which is due to run each Wednesday from 2-3pm, starting on July 8.
It aims of offer opportunities to learn instruments, new skills and participate in a variety of projects.
Youth development worker Kimberley Tosh said: “Our weekly sessions will continue as normal and they aim to support young people to develop their musical creativity whilst learning new skills and providing non-formal education.
“The weekly sessions include activities such as guitar and bass sessions, using recording software to collaborate remotely, planning and hosting community events and music-based workshops.
“We welcome all young people regardless of musical ability to join us to make new friends, share ideas and build on their confidence.”
