Southmuir P7 pupils have left a positive environmental legacy for their pals and the local community as they make the step up to senior school.
The class has made its final visit to Kirrie Den for a farewell litter pick before the end of the school year as part of the whole school’s effort to secure a Pride in Place award in a growing Angus Council initiative encouraging communities to play a pivotal part in making their own area an attractive place to live.
Communities officer Jennifer Anderson said: “The school was very pro-active in coming forward for Pride in Place but the P7s have taken the lead and they have done a really great job.
“They were extremely motivated and have left a great legacy for their schoolmates.
“Kirrie Den has had a few problems but there are also community volunteers on board to tidy it up and it is looking really good,” added Jennifer.
