Graham Haddow took part in events celebrating the Arctic Convoy veterans .
A Tayside man has spoken of the warm welcome he received when representing his father during the recent Immortal Regiment march in Russia.
Graham Haddow from Liff was invited to Moscow to take part in events celebrating the actions of veterans and relatives in the second world war.
Mr Haddow’s father Murray, who is now 90 and did not want to undertake the trip, was a veteran of the Arctic Convoys which kept Russia supplied before it opened up a second front against the Axis.
Mr Haddow was one of three people invited to take part in the parade, at which more than 600,000 people participated and carried pictures of relatives who defended the country.
He said he found Moscow “exciting and friendly”.
He said: “As relatives of Arctic Convoy veterans and guests of the Russian government, we were greeted with warmth and appreciation.
“Dressed in my kilt I was asked many times to be photographed with kids, adults and grannies.
“I was also thanked for the support given to Russia by my father and others like him.”
