Emergency services raced to help a heart attack victim at a Mearns castle.
Coastguard and ambulance teams were called out to help a person who had fallen ill at Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven on Saturday July 1.
The Scottish Ambulance Service asked HM Coastguard to assist while paramedics were en route around 2.45pm.
The Stonehaven Coastguard Rescue Team were paged to attend and the man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance for further care.
The Bond Rescue 1 helicopter was readying to leave Aberdeen airport but was stood down.
