A man has been charged with careless driving following a crash involving a car and a minibus near Carnoustie as the Open teed off.
And a small grass fire in the edge of the town required firefighters to bring it under control.
The collision took place on the B962 Monifieth to Mains of Ardestie road, near the A92 Arbroath to Dundee route, at 9am yesterday.
A police spokeswoman said there were no serious injuries and confirmed the charge.
She added: “Police Scotland attended a road traffic incident involving a car and mini buses on (the) B962.”
The grass fire took occurred at nearby Ravensby Park Gardens, on the outskirts of the town, in the morning.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman confirmed that one vehicle was sent out to tackle the blaze, when some gorse caught fire at around midday.
It is not known what caused the fire, but firefighters quickly got it under control.
Meanwhile, Police Scotland has confirmed it has spoken to a person “associated with” a tractor that saw its trailer detach and skid across the A92. No one has been charged.
