A Dundee conservation group is helping keep children occupied during the lockdown by providing instructions for craft projects using materials found during daily walks.
Dighty Connect, who look after the Dighty burn that runs through Dundee, are posting the hand-written instruction manuals on their Facebook page.
Materials include pine cones that can be collected along the Dighty or cardboard from household packaging that is found in most homes.
The initiative started after the group had to suspend its usual activities due to the lockdown.
Dighty Connect worker Nicky Wilkie said: “We normally do craft projects with groups, such as school groups.
“But obviously we haven’t been able to do that recently.
“So I decided to use some of the projects to help entertain families who would be stuck indoors.
“For some of them you only need cardboard and pens, others include materials people can find when walking along the Dighty for their daily exercise.
“I thought it was a good idea because not everyone has access to their own open space, such as a garden for the children to play in.
“So they can do these things at home or during their walk.
“We’ve had a few families send in photos of what they’ve done so I think people are enjoying it.”
