
A flood alert has been issued for parts of Tayside, with warnings of heavy and persistent rain overnight.
Dundee and Angus are expected to bear the brunt of the downpour and residents have been told properties could flood.
Low-lying land and roads are also likely to be affected.

Environment watchdog Sepa said the alert would be in place into Thursday.
They said: “Surface water, river impacts and difficult driving conditions are expected across much of western and northern Scotland.
“The worst of the impacts are expected in Dundee, Angus, Central, the Trossachs and Tayside, where we could see flooding of low-lying land, roads and even properties.”
