Social media users have described the sight of police chasing an escaped chicken through the streets of Dundee as “the funniest thing ever”.
Locals took to Twitter to report the bizarre scenes witnessed in Dundee on Friday morning.

Connor Herd backed the claims, describing the scene as “the funniest thing I have ever seen”.
Police Scotland confirmed the incident, and said the bird will remain in custody until its owner is found.
A spokesman said: “Officers were in East Marketgait at 8.30 this morning after reports of a chicken trying to cross the road and giving passing motorists cause for concern.
“The bird was traced safe and well and has been brought to our police station. The SSPCA has been contacted and will be attending to take care of the chicken until the owner is traced.”
